Commercial Rail Manager
Occidental Chemicals Corporation, Dallas, TX

OxyChem is currently looking for a Commercial Rail Manager with a minimum of 10 years experience in the transportation industry with a degree in Transportation, Business or applicable field of study.  Rail negotiation experience required.

  • Essential Job Duties include, but are not limited to: manage and negotiate rail transportation agreements, including freight rates, rail leases and railcar storage for all OxyChem products.
  • Incorporate knowledge on business conditions and alternative transportation modes to define the objectives and the strategy for rail transportation agreements across all product lines.
  • Reduce / minimize Supply Chain costs by working with our rail carriers and Demand Chain Planning to optimize the shipments of products from the lowest cost logistical points available. This could be through exchange agreements and/or plant locations.
